Remodeling & Renovation Dumpsters

The Right Size Dumpster
for Your Renovation.

Renovation projects are notorious for generating more debris than expected. A bathroom tear-out that looks small fills a dumpster fast once the tile, drywall and fixtures are out. We help you size it right from the start so you're not stuck with a half-empty bin you overpaid for or a full one that stopped the job mid-week.

Tell us what you're renovating, roughly how much material is coming out and where you're located in North County San Diego. We'll recommend the right roll-off and get it to you fast — same-day when available.

Project Types We Cover

A Dumpster for Every Renovation Scope

From a single bathroom to a full home gut, here's what we handle most on renovation rental jobs.

Kitchen Remodels

Cabinet removal, countertop tear-out, tile backsplash, flooring and appliances all come out during a kitchen gut. It adds up fast.

  • Old cabinets and hardware
  • Countertops and tile backsplash
  • Flooring underlayment
  • Old appliances and fixtures

Bathroom Renovations

Even a single bathroom generates a heavy load. Tile is dense — a tub surround and floor tear-out fills a smaller dumpster on its own.

  • Tile floor and wall tear-out
  • Old vanity, toilet and tub
  • Drywall and cement board
  • Plumbing fixtures and hardware

Flooring Projects

Carpet, tile, hardwood and laminate across multiple rooms generates large volumes of heavy debris that doesn't fit in any standard bin.

  • Carpet and padding tear-out
  • Ceramic and porcelain tile
  • Hardwood and engineered flooring
  • Vinyl plank and laminate

Full Home Gut Renovations

Whole-home remodels produce debris across every category at once. We size for the full scope and offer swap-out service so one full dumpster doesn't halt progress on a multi-week project.

  • Mixed loads across all rooms
  • Multi-week rental periods available
  • Swap-out service mid-project
  • Coordinated around contractor schedule

ADU & Room Additions

Accessory dwelling unit builds and room additions involve framing, drywall, roofing and concrete work all in one scope. A construction-grade roll-off keeps the site manageable throughout.

  • Framing and drywall debris
  • Roofing and insulation material
  • Mixed construction waste
  • Same-day delivery to residential sites
Get the Size Right

Too Small Stops the Job.
Too Big Wastes Money.

The most common mistake on renovation rentals is guessing the size. Here's a rough guide — we'll confirm the right fit when you call.

Smaller Projects

Single Room Renovation

One bathroom, a small kitchen or a single-room flooring project. Light debris volume with some tile or drywall mixed in.

  • One bathroom full tear-out
  • Single-room carpet and flooring
  • Small kitchen refresh debris
  • Weekend DIY renovation projects
Mid-Range Projects

Multi-Room or Kitchen Gut

A full kitchen gut, two bathrooms or flooring across most of a single-story home. Dense tile and cabinet loads fall in this range.

  • Full kitchen tear-out
  • Two-bathroom renovation
  • Whole-floor flooring replacement
  • Kitchen plus one bathroom combo
Larger Projects

Full Home Gut or ADU

Whole-home renovations, multi-story floor replacements or ADU builds that span weeks and generate mixed debris across every category.

  • Full multi-room gut renovation
  • ADU or addition builds
  • Multi-week project windows
  • High-volume mixed debris loads

FAQ

Renovation Dumpster
Questions

What homeowners and contractors ask most before booking a renovation rental.

How do I know what dumpster size I need for my renovation?
Just tell us what you're renovating and roughly how many rooms are involved. We ask a few quick questions — type of flooring, whether tile is coming out, whether there's drywall — and recommend the right size. We'd rather get this right upfront than have you call us for a swap halfway through the project.
Can tile and bathroom debris go in the same dumpster as drywall and lumber?
Yes. Mixed renovation loads are the norm — tile, drywall, cabinets, lumber and flooring all go in together. The exception is truly heavy loads like a large amount of pure concrete or masonry, which can approach weight limits faster. We'll flag that during sizing if it's relevant to your job.
My renovation is taking longer than expected. Can I keep the dumpster longer?
Renovations run long — that's just how they go. Call us before the scheduled pickup and we'll extend the rental. We don't penalize you for keeping the dumpster while the project is still active. Extensions are priced fairly and confirmed over the phone.
Can the dumpster be placed in my driveway without damaging it?
We take care with driveway placement. Let us know your surface type — concrete, pavers, asphalt — when you book and we'll note any special handling. For particularly soft or decorative surfaces, we can discuss placement options to minimize any contact marks.
What renovation materials are not accepted in the dumpster?
Prohibited items include asbestos-containing materials (common in older homes — tile, insulation, popcorn ceilings), paint, chemicals, motor oil and batteries. If you're working on a pre-1980 home and aren't sure about specific materials, have them tested before loading. We're happy to advise when you call.
Do you also offer junk removal if I just need a crew to haul things out?
Yes. If you'd rather have a crew come in, load everything and haul it away without renting a dumpster, that's our full-service junk removal option. It works well for smaller renovation scopes or when you don't have the driveway space for a roll-off. Call and we'll tell you which option makes more sense for your job.
